BioI'm a long-time skiffy fan who worked for many years in the tech geek biz, and now runs a bunch of websites about magazine cover art, historic travel, and the travel lecturer and writer Burton Holmes. My current main business was supposed to be as an e-book publisher (Hidden Knowledge), but e-books have failed to take off as had been expected. The LJ name comes from my interest in magazine illustration and the artists of the "golden age of American illustration" -- roughly 1880-1930 but with extensions on both ends.
